Nieuwsbericht: Golf op de kaart in Kroatie

Sinds de aanname van een nieuwe 'Golf Wet', waarbij strenge milieu-en bouw eisen worden gesteld, is Kroatie bezig zich op de kaart zetten als golfbestemming van de toekomst. Het land lijkt, met zijn onaangetaste kust, na de EU toetreding in 2012 als grote duurzame winnaar uit de crisis te komen.

Het Nederlandse bedrijf Middelland is als adviseur betrokken bij een van de golf-resort projecten in ontwikkeling. Nick van den Bichelaer: "we hebben een licht glooiende site direct aan het water, midden in het deel van Kroatie wat echt aan het opkomen is. En in deze periode van recessie je project ontwikkelen heeft veel voordelen."

Maandag 28 februari om 19:00 – 22:00 uur houdt de ontwikkelaar een informatieavond voor investeerders in De Goyer Golf en Country Club nabij Hilversum. Geïnteresseerden kunnen zich opgeven via Middelland.

Croatia’s ‘American Dream’ development to include a casino, vineyard, golf courses and more

The American Dream and all that it suggests – happiness, prosperity, fulfillment of destiny – is the inspiration for a 5,000-acre mini city that its developers hope will someday take shape along Croatia’s Adriatic coast.

The Croatian Dream has been master-planned to be several things, including a vacation destination, a business center and a place to call home. The company that’s developing it, Profectus Grupa, says it’ll be “a haven for the soul,” “a synonym for health and vitality” and “a true example of an ‘American Dream’ being achieved here in Croatia.”

The Dream is to be built in Doli, 20 miles northwest of Dubrovnik. At build-out, it’s expected to have a little bit of everything: several types of houses, 13 hotels, a casino, two marinas (one of which will accommodate mega-yachts), a business park, a film studio, exhibition space for international trade shows, an airport, a university campus, a hospital, a theme park, sports arenas, recreation areas, museums, a vineyard, an olive grove and at least two golf courses.

Profectus Grupa is based in Split but also has offices in Zagreb and Dubrovnik. The firm’s chairman, Vicenco Blagaic, is a former concert and movie producer. (He produced one of Croatia’s most popular films, The Last Will). He now publishes the Croatian edition of Nautica, a magazine about boating, and organizes trade shows, including the Croatian Boat Show.

Assuming he can find financing, Blagaic hopes to break ground on the first phase of the Dream, a community called Three Sisters, sometime in 2011. Three Sisters will have a shopping village, a waterfront promenade, a marina, and the Dream’s first golf course.

A designer for Three Sisters’ golf course hasn’t been named, but representatives of Nick Faldo’s design firm showed up for Profectus Grupa’s charette in Dubrovnik last fall.

confident about closing EU negotiations in the next six months

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations, Gordan Jandrokovic said that he expects Croatia to finish the year with 28 European Union chapters closed, and that the negotiations will end during the Hungarian presidency, in the first half of 2011.

"This year we saw a lot of progress with to the European Union and I hope that in the next two days we will complete another three chapters," Jandrokovic said yesterday (Mon).

The Minister is certain that Croatia will manage to solve all questions related to negotiations, including the chapter on the judiciary which is considered to be one of the most difficult.

"They are very demanding because not only do we have to fulfil the criteria and create laws, but also, I would dare to say, to change the mentality, a view on society's development," Minister said.

"I believe that Croatia possesses a lot of strength for that, as the latest events show," he added.

Petar Strizak, the most sincere man in Kastela and real estate agent in Croatia, died

 SPLIT - In accident that occurred Saturday afternoon in the port of Kastel Stari, Peter Strižak (55) from this town, drowned . Strižak and the car landed in a sea depth of about 2.5 meters, about 17:00. Firefighters pulled the diver is unfortunate man who showed no signs of life from his Ford Mondeo on the surface, and then it was on its way to the Split hospital emergency medical care doctors unsuccessfully tried to resuscitate. Unfortunately, at the moment Strižak landed in the sea in the port there were people who would rescue him for help. Police found that the visual inspection Strižak stood in a row of parked cars and went forward, crossed the ropes that were tied boats, the stern rope broke one of the ship, auto rotate and more meaningful. SPLIT - U prometnoj nesreći koja se u subotu poslijepodne dogodila u portu u Kaštel Starom utopio se Petar Strižak (55) iz Kaštela. Strižak je automobilom sletio u more dubine oko 2,5 metara oko 17 sati. Vatrogasni ronioc izvukao je nesretnog čovjeka koji nije pokazivao znakove života iz njegova Ford Mondea na površinu, a onda su ga na putu do splitske bolnice liječnici hitne medicinske pomoći bezuspješno pokušavali reanimirati. Na nesreću, u trenutku kad je Strižak sletio u more u portu nije bilo ljudi koji bi mu priskočili u pomoć. Policija je očevidom utvrdila da je Strižak stajao u nizu parkiranih vozila te krenuo naprijed, prešao preko konopa kojima su bili privezani brodovi, puknuo je krmeni konop jednog broda, auto se zarotiralo i upalo u more. Strižak je i prije prije pet godina svojim Ford Mondeom sletio s ceste i udario u stablo. (tekst: Duška Čolović)
